1453 صحيح حديث سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: لاَ يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ خَبُثَتْ نَفْسِي، وَلكِنْ لِيَقُلْ لَقِسَتْ نَفْسِي
English Translation
Sahl ibn Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "None of you should say: 'My soul has become evil (khabuthat nafsi).' Rather, let him say: 'My soul has become uneasy (laqisat nafsi).'"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا سہل بن حنیف رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”تم میں سے کوئی ہرگز یوں نہ کہے کہ میرا نفس پلید ہو گیا، لیکن یوں کہہ سکتا ہے کہ میرا دل خراب یا پریشان ہو گیا۔“[اللؤلؤ والمرجان/كتاب الألفاظ من الأدب وغيرها/حدیث: 1453]
