Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ الْتَمَسُوا شَيْئًا يُؤْذِنُونَ بِهِ عِلْمًا لِلصَّلاَةِ فَأُمِرَ بِلاَلٌ أَنْ يَشْفَعَ الأَذَانَ وَيُوتِرَ الإِقَامَةَ .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "They looked for something by means of which they could call out informing of (the time of) the prayer. Then Hadrat Bilal was commanded to say the phrases of the Adhan twice and the phrases of the Iqamah once
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ لوگوں کو ایسی چیز کی تلاش ہوئی جس کے ذریعہ لوگوں کو نماز کے اوقات کی واقفیت ہو جائے، تو حضرت بلال رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو حکم ہوا کہ وہ اذان کے کلمات دو دو بار، اور اقامت کے کلمات ایک ایک بار کہیں ۱؎۔
