Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَائِذُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " إِذَا دَعَوْتَ اللَّهَ فَادْعُ بِبُطُونِ كَفَّيْكَ وَلاَ تَدْعُ بِظُهُورِهِمَا فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَامْسَحْ بِهِمَا وَجْهَكَ " .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with him) that :the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) (saas) said: "When you supplicate to Allah, supplicate with your palms uppermost, not with the backs of your hands uppermost, and when you finish, wipe your face with them
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جب تم اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کرو تو اپنے ہاتھ کی اندرونی ہتھیلیوں سے دعا کیا کرو، ان کی پشت اپنی طرف کر کے دعا نہ کرو، پھر جب دعا سے فارغ ہو جاؤ تو اپنے ہاتھ اپنے منہ پر پھیرو ۔
