Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَطَرٌ الْوَرَّاقُ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ كُنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَذَكَرْنَا الْكَمْأَةَ فَقَالُوا هِيَ جُدَرِيُّ الأَرْضِ . فَنُمِيَ الْحَدِيثُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ " الْكَمْأَةُ مِنَ الْمَنِّ وَالْعَجْوَةُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَهِيَ شِفَاءٌ مِنَ السَّمِّ " .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) said:“We used to narrate from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and mention truffles, and they said: ‘(It is) the smallpox of the earth.’ When the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was told of what they were saying: he said: ‘Truffles are a type of manna, and the Ajwah are from Paradise, and they are a healing from poison.’”
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم لوگ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس گفتگو کر رہے تھے کہ کھمبی کا ذکر آ گیا، تو لوگوں نے کہا: وہ تو زمین کی چیچک ہے، یہ بات رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم تک پہنچی تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: کھمبی «منّ» میں سے ہے، اور عجوہ کھجور جنت کا پھل ہے، اور اس میں زہر سے شفاء ہے ۔
