حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ الرَّمْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَابُورَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ أَبِي الطَّوِيلِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " حَرْسُ لَيْلَةٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ صِيَامِ رَجُلٍ وَقِيَامِهِ فِي أَهْلِهِ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ السَّنَةُ ثَلاَثُمِائَةٍ وَسِتُّونَ يَوْمًا وَالْيَوْمُ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ " .
English Translation
It was narrated that Sa’eed bin Khalid bin Abu Tuwail said:I heard Hadrat Anas bin Malik saying: I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “Standing guard one night in the cause of Allah is better than a man fasting and praying, among his family, for a thousand years. The year is three hundred and sixty days and a day is like a thousand years.”
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہو ے سنا: اللہ کی راہ میں ایک رات پہرہ دینا، کسی آدمی کے اپنے گھر میں رہ کر ایک ہزار سال کے صوم و صلاۃ سے بڑھ کر ہے، سال تین سو ساٹھ دن کا ہوتا ہے، جس کا ہر دن ہزار سال کے برابر ہے ۔
