حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ شَبِيبِ بْنِ غَرْقَدَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ فِي حِجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ " أَلاَ لاَ يَجْنِي جَانٍ إِلاَّ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ لاَ يَجْنِي وَالِدٌ عَلَى وَلَدِهِ وَلاَ مَوْلُودٌ عَلَى وَالِدِهِ " .
English Translation
It was narrated from Sulaiman (upon him be peace) bin Amr bin Ahwas that his father said:I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) saying during the Farewell pilgrimage: “No criminal commits a crime but he brings. (the punishment for that) upon himself. No father can bring punishment upon his son by his crime, and no son can bring punishment upon his father.”
Urdu Translation
حضرت عمرو بن احوص رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حجۃ الوداع کے موقعہ پر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: خبردار! مجرم اپنے جرم پر خود پکڑا جائے گا، ( یعنی جو قصور کرے گا وہ اپنی ذات ہی پر کرے گا اور اس کا مواخذہ اسی سے ہو گا ) باپ کے جرم میں بیٹا نہ پکڑا جائے گا، اور نہ بیٹے کے جرم میں باپ ۔
