Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ، بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، حَدَّثَتْنِي شَعْثَاءُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ صَلَّى يَوْمَ بُشِّرَ بِرَأْسِ أَبِي جَهْلٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ .
English Translation
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Abu Awfa that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) prayed two Rak’ah on the day when he was given the glad tidings of the head (death) of Abu Jahl
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن ابی اوفی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ جس دن نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو حضرت ابوجہل کا سر لائے جانے کی بشارت سنائی گئی، تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے دو رکعت نماز پڑھی۔
