حَدَّثَنَامُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: ثناأَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَ: ثناحَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْعَامِرٍ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْعَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْأَبِيهِ، عَنْجَدِّهِرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" لا طَلاقَ فِيمَا لا يَمْلِكُ، وَلا عِتْقَ فِيمَا لا يَمْلِكُ".
English Translation
Amr ibn Shu'ayb narrated from his father, from his grandfather (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no divorce regarding what one does not possess, and there is no emancipation regarding what one does not possess."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: جس کا انسان مالک نہیں، اسے طلاق نہیں دے سکتا اور جس کا انسان مالک نہیں، اسے آزاد نہیں کر سکتا۔[المنتقى ابن الجارود/كتاب الطلاق/حدیث: 743]
