حَدَّثَنَاإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ: أَنَاعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، ح وَثَنَاعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَايَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْسُفْيَانَ، عَنْزُبَيْدَ، عَنْإِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْمَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْعَبْدِ اللَّهِرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ، وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ، وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ"، وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ هَاشِمٍ، قَالَ: ثَنِي زُبَيْدٌ.
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "He is not of us who slaps the cheeks, tears the garments, and calls with the calls of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance)."
