Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَامُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: ثَنَاعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْمَعْمَرٍ،وَابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِالزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْعُرْوَةَ، عَنْعَائِشَةَرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ:" مَا زَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَيَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى".
English Translation
Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) continued to observe i'tikaf (spiritual retreat) during the last ten days of Ramadan until Allah the Most High took his soul.
Urdu Translation
سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمہمیشہ رمضان کے آخری عشرے میں اعتکاف کرتے رہے حتی کہ آپ اللہ تعالیٰ کو پیارے ہو گئے۔[المنتقى ابن الجارود/كتاب الصيام/حدیث: 407]
