حَدَّثَنَامُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَاحَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ: قَالَابْنُ جُرَيْجٍأَخْبَرَنِيأَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَجَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، يَقُولُ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ النَّوَافِلَ فِي كُلِّ جِهَةٍ، وَلَكِنْ يَخْفِضُ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ يُومِئُ إِيمَاءً".
English Translation
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both): I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) praying voluntary prayers on his mount in every direction, but he would lower his head more for the prostrations than for the bowings, making gestures (indicating bowing and prostration by nodding).

سیدنا جابر بن عبد الله رضی اللہ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو سواری پر ہر طرف منہ کر کے نوافل پڑھتے دیکھا ہے، آپ اشارے سے نماز پڑھ رہے تھے اور سجدوں میں رکوع کی بہ نسبت زیادہ سر جھکاتے تھے۔[المنتقى ابن الجارود/كتاب الصلاة/حدیث: 228]
