أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ رُوَيْبَةَ أَنَّهُ رَأَى بِشْرَ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ رَافِعًا يَدَيْهِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَقَالَ «قَبَّحَ اللَّهُ هَاتَيْنِ الْيَدَيْنِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا يَزِيدُ عَلَى أَنْ يَقُولَ بِيَدِهِ كَذَا وَأَشَارَ بِأُصْبُعِهِ للسّبْحَهِ*»
English Translation
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'If the Iqamah for prayer is given, do not come to it running, but come walking with tranquility. Pray whatever you catch up with, and complete whatever you miss.'
