أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «غَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ أَوْ مَوْضِعُ قَدَمٍ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً اطَّلَعَتْ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنْ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ لَأَضَاءَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَمَلَأَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا رِيحًا وَلَنَصِيفُهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا»
English Translation
Hadrat 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb narrated from his father from his grandfather: A man from the Banu Mudlij called Qarrah struck his slave with a stick and killed him. So he came to the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). The Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Call for his heirs." They came - his uncle and paternal cousin, or two paternal cousins - and the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Bury him and pray over him, and you both shall have his loyalty." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, we have no wealth." He stated: "You shall have his blood money." This hadith is also from the same chapter.
