أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ حَدَّثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ يَسَافٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ»
English Translation
Hadrat 'Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "The best of people are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them, then those who follow them."
Urdu Translation
حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «سب سے بہترین لوگ میرا زمانہ ہے، پھر وہ جو ان کے بعد آئیں، پھر وہ جو ان کے بعد آئیں، پھر وہ جو ان کے بعد آئیں۔»
