أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ فَوَضَعْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ طَهُورًا فَقَالَ «مَنْ وَضَعَ هَذَا؟ » قَالَتْ مَيْمُونَةُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ ﷺ «اللَّهُمَّ فَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ وَعَلِّمْهُ التَّأْوِيلَ»
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: I was in the house of Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Maymunah bint al-Harith (may Allah be well pleased with her) and I placed water for the ablution of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). He asked: "Who placed this?" Maymunah said: Abdullah. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "O Allah, grant him understanding of the religion and teach him the interpretation."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے: میں اُمّ المؤمنین حضرت میمونہ بنت حارث رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے گھر میں تھا۔ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے وضو کے لیے پانی رکھا۔ آپ نے پوچھا: "یہ کس نے رکھا؟" میمونہ نے کہا: عبداللہ نے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "اے اللہ! اسے دین کی سمجھ عطا فرما اور اسے تاویل سکھا۔"
