أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ بِتُسْتَرَ حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحَسَّانَيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ السَّمَّانُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ شَكَتْ لِي فَاطِمَةُ مِنَ الطَّحِينِ فَقُلْتُ لَوْ أَتَيْتِ أَبَاكِ فَسَأَلْتِيهِ خَادِمًا قَالَ فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَلَمْ تُصَادِفْهُ فَرَجَعَتْ مَكَانَهَا فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أُخْبِرَ فَأَتَانَا وَعَلَيْنَا قَطِيفَةٌ إِذَا لَبِسْنَاهَا طُولًا خَرَجَتْ مِنْهَا جُنُوبُنَا وَإِذَا لَبِسْنَاهَا عَرْضًا خَرَجَتْ مِنْهَا أَقْدَامُنَا وَرُءُوسُنَا۔
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'If the Ansar took a mountain pass and the people took another mountain pass, I would follow the mountain pass of the Ansar. Had it not been for the migration, I would have been a man from the Ansar.'
