أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ الطَّرَسُوسِيُّ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَامِدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَانَ اسْمُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَنْتَ عَتِيقُ اللَّهِ مِنَ النَّارِ» فَسُمِّيَ عَتِيقًا
English Translation
The father of Amir ibn Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrated: The name of Abu Bakr was Abdullah ibn Uthman, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to him: 'You are Atiq Allah (freed by Allah) from the Fire.' So he was called Atiq.
