أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَقِيَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ ابْنَ صَائِدٍ وَمَعَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ قَالَ وَابْنُ صَائِدٍ مَعَ الْغِلْمَانِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَتَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ؟ » قَالَ أَتَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ؟ فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ «آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِ» قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا تَرَى؟ » قَالَ أَرَى عَرْشًا عَلَى الْمَاءِ فَقَالَ ﷺ «تَرَى عَرْشَ إِبْلِيسَ عَلَى الْبَحْرِ» قَالَ «انْظُرْ مَا تَرَى؟ » قَالَ أَرَى صَادِقِينَ وَكَاذِبِينَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لُبِسَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ» فَدَعَاهُ
English Translation
Umar ibn Muhammad al-Hamdani informed us, Muhammad ibn Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us from his father from Abu Nadrah from Jabir ibn Abdullah who said: The Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) met Ibn Sa'id while Abu Bakr and Umar were with him. Ibn Sa'id was with the boys. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to him: "Do you testify that I am the Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Do you testify that I am the messenger of Allah?" The Prophet of Allah said: "I believe in Allah and His Messenger." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "What do you see?" He said: "I see a throne upon water." He (peace be upon him) said: "You see the throne of Iblis upon the sea." He said: "Look, what do you see?" He said: "I see truthful ones and liars." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The matter is confusing to him." Then he called him.
