أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بِحَرَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ نَافِعَ بْنَ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قُلْتُ حَدِّثْنِي هَلْ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَذْكُرُ الدَّجَّالَ؟ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَعِنْدَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَغْرِبِ أَتَوْهُ لِيُسْلِمُوا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ الصُّوفُ فَلَمَّا دَنَوْتُ مِنْهُ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «تَغْزُونَ جَزِيرَةَ الْعَرَبِ فَيَفْتَحُهَا اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ ثُمَّ تَغْزُونَ فَارِسَ فَيَفْتَحُهَا اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ ثُمَّ تَغْزُونَ الرُّومَ فَيَفْتَحُهَا اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ ثُمَّ تَغْزُونَ الدَّجَّالَ فَيَفْتَحُهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ»
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Abdullah in Harran informed us, al-Nufayli narrated to us, Ubaydullah ibn Amr narrated to us from Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr from Jabir ibn Samurah who said: I asked Nafi' ibn Utbah ibn Abi Waqqas, I said: "Tell me, did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention the Dajjal?" He said: I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and with him were people from the people of the West who had come to greet him, wearing wool. When I drew near to him, I heard him saying: "You will conquer the Arabian Peninsula and Allah will grant you victory over it. Then you will conquer Persia and Allah will grant you victory over it. Then you will conquer the Romans and Allah will grant you victory over them. Then you will conquer the Dajjal and Allah will grant you victory over him."
