أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ بِمَنْبِجَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ بِعَسْقَلَانَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُعَافَى بْنِ أَبِي حَنْظَلَةَ الْعَابِدُ بِصَيْدَاءَ فِي آخَرِينَ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْأَزْرَقُ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ أَنَّ هِشَامَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ أَدَّى عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ سَبْعَةَ آلَافِ دِينَارٍ دَيْنًا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلزُّهْرِيِّ لَا تَعُودَنَّ تَدَّانُ فقَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ كَيْفَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَقَدْ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يُلْدَغُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ جُحْرٍ وَاحِدٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ»
English Translation
Umar bin Sa'id bin Sinan in Manbij, Muhammad bin al-Hasan bin Qutaybah in Asqalan, and Muhammad bin al-Mu'affa bin Abi Hanzhalah al-Abid in Sayda, along with others, narrated to us. They said: Hisham bin Khalid al-Azraq narrated to us, al-Walid bin Muslim narrated to us, Sa'id bin Abd al-Aziz narrated to us that Hisham bin Abd al-Malik paid off seven thousand dinars of debt that was upon al-Zuhri. Then he said to al-Zuhri: Do not go into debt again. So al-Zuhri said: How can I do that, O Commander of the Faithful, when Sa'id bin al-Musayyib narrated to me from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'A believer is not bitten from the same hole twice.'
