أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ زَاجْ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَدَّادُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْوَازِعِ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا بَرْزَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا بَيْنَ نَاحِيَتَيْ حَوْضِي كَمَا بَيْنَ أَيْلَةَ إِلَى صَنْعَاءَ مَسِيرَةَ شَهْرٍ عَرْضُهُ كَطُولِهِ فِيهَا مِزْرَابَانِ يَنْثَعِبَانِ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ وَرِقٍ وَذَهَبٍ أَبْيَضُ مِنَ اللَّبَنِ وَأَحْلَى مِنَ الْعَسَلِ وَأَبْرَدُ مِنَ الثَّلْجِ فِيهِ أَبَارِيقُ عَدَدُ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ»
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hasan narrated to us: Ahmad ibn Mansur Zaj narrated to us: al-Nadr ibn Shumayl narrated to us: Shaddad ibn Sa'id narrated to us, he said: I heard Abu al-Wazi' Jabir ibn Amr, that he heard Abu Barzah saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'The distance between the two sides of my Basin is like the distance from Ayla to San'a, a month's journey. Its width is like its length. In it are two channels that pour forth from Paradise, of silver and gold. It is whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, and cooler than ice. It has pitchers as numerous as the stars of the sky.'
