أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الثَّقَفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَحْفُوظُ بْنُ أَبِي تَوْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ السَّهْمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدًا الطَّوِيلَ يَقُولُ قُلْتُ لِأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «النَّدَمُ تَوْبَةٌ»؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ
English Translation
Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «Indeed, for every religion there is a character, and the character of Islam is modesty.»
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: «بے شک ہر دین کے لیے ایک خصلت ہے، اور اسلام کی خصلت حیا ہے۔»
