أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ فَيْرُوزَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَجُوزُ مِنَ الضَّحَايَا أَرْبَعٌ الْعَوْرَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ عَوَرُهَا وَالْعَرْجَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ عَرَجُهَا وَالْمَرِيضَةُ الْبَيِّنُ مَرَضُهَا وَالْعَجْفَاءُ الَّتِي لَا تُنْقِي»
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Ali ibn al-Muthanna informed us, saying: Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us from Ziyad ibn Ilaqah from his uncle or his maternal uncle Qutbah ibn Malik from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: 'Reviling a Muslim is sinful disobedience, and fighting him is disbelief.'
