أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ بِحَرَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ كَانَ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ يُرْسِلُ إِلَى أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ وَرُبَّمَا بَاتَتْ عِنْدَهُ قَالَ فَدَعَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ خَادِمًا فَأَبْطَأَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْهُ فَقَالَتْ لَا تَلْعَنْهُ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّعَّانَيْنَ لَا يَكُونُونَ شُهَدَاءَ وَلَا شُفَعَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»
English Translation
Abu Yahya ibn Abi Masarrah narrated to us, Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Asma narrated to us, Juwayriiyyah narrated to us from Nafi, from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «When Allah wants to destroy a nation, He punishes its lowliest for the deeds of its nobles, so the lowly perish and the nobles remain.»
