أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى أَبِي فَنَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَأَتَاهُ بِطَعَامٍ وَحَيْسٍ وَسَوِيقٍ وَتَمْرٍ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ بِشَرَابٍ فَنَاوَلَ مَنْ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ قَالَ وَكَانَ يَأْكُلُ التَّمْرَ وَيَضَعُ النَّوَى عَلَى ظَهْرِ أُصْبُعَيْهِ السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوسْطَى ثُمَّ يَرْمِي بِهِ ثُمَّ دَعَا لَهُمْ فَقَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيمَا رَزَقْتَهُمْ وَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَارْحَمْهُمْ»
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Busr al-Sulami (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came to my father and stayed with him. He was presented with food, hays (a mixture of dates, ghee, and flour), sawiq (roasted barley), and dates. Then he was given a drink, and he passed it to the one on his right. He said: He used to eat dates and place the pit on the back of his index and middle fingers, then toss it away. Then he prayed for them and stated: "O Allah, bless them in what You have provided them, forgive them, and have mercy on them."
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن بسر سلمی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم میرے والد کے پاس تشریف لائے اور ان کے ہاں اترے۔ آپ کے سامنے کھانا، حیس (کھجور، گھی اور آٹے کی مٹھائی)، ستو اور کھجوریں رکھی گئیں۔ پھر آپ کو مشروب پیش کیا گیا تو آپ نے اپنے دائیں طرف والے کو دیا۔ فرمایا: آپ کھجور تناول فرماتے اور گٹھلی شہادت اور درمیانی انگلی کی پشت پر رکھتے پھر پھینک دیتے۔ پھر آپ نے ان کے لیے دعا فرمائی: اے اللہ! ان کو جو تو نے رزق دیا ہے اس میں برکت دے، انہیں بخش دے اور ان پر رحم فرما۔
