أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنِ ابْتَاعَ طَعَامًا فَلَا يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَقْبِضَهُ»
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did not fast any complete month other than Ramadan, and he used to fast until we would say: He will not break his fast, and he would break his fast until we would say: He will not fast.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے رمضان کے علاوہ کوئی پورا مہینہ روزے نہیں رکھا، اور آپ روزے رکھتے یہاں تک کہ ہم کہتے: آپ افطار نہیں کریں گے، اور افطار کرتے یہاں تک کہ ہم کہتے: آپ روزے نہیں رکھیں گے۔
