أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ اللُّقَطَةِ فَقَالَ «عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً فَإِنْ لَمْ تَعْرِفْ فَاعْرِفْ عِفَاصَهَا وَوِكَاءَهَا ثُمَّ كُلْهَا فَإِنْ جَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا فَأَدِّهَا إِلَيْهِ»
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «Before the Hour there will be al-Harj.» They asked: What is al-Harj? He stated: «Killing.» Some of the Muslims said: O Messenger of Allah, we currently kill such-and-such number of polytheists every year. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «It will not be the killing of polytheists, but rather you will kill one another until a man will kill his neighbor, his cousin, and his relative.» They said: Will we be in our right minds on that day? The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «The reason of most of the people of that time will be taken away, and there will remain only worthless rabble who will think they are upon something while they are upon nothing.»
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «قیامت سے پہلے ہرج ہو گا۔» لوگوں نے پوچھا: ہرج کیا ہے؟ آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: «قتل۔» بعض مسلمانوں نے کہا: یا رسول اللہ! ہم فی الحال ہر سال اتنے مشرکین قتل کرتے ہیں۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «یہ مشرکوں کا قتل نہیں ہو گا، بلکہ تم ایک دوسرے کو قتل کرو گے یہاں تک کہ آدمی اپنے پڑوسی، اپنے چچا زاد اور اپنے رشتہ دار کو قتل کرے گا۔» لوگوں نے کہا: کیا اس دن ہم اپنے ہوش و حواس میں ہوں گے؟ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «اس وقت کے اکثر لوگوں کی عقلیں اٹھا لی جائیں گی، اور صرف بیکار رعاع باقی رہیں گے جو سمجھیں گے کہ وہ کچھ ہیں جبکہ وہ کچھ نہیں ہوں گے۔»
