أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مِنْ سَمَّعَ يَهُودِيًّا أَوْ نَصْرَانِيًّا دَخَلَ النَّارَ»
English Translation
Hadrat Mujammi ibn Jariyah al-Ansari (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that he said: We went forth with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on the Expedition of Banu al-Mustalaq, and we captured some Arab noble women from among the captives. We desired women and celibacy became difficult for us, so we wanted to practice 'azl (coitus interruptus). We said: Shall we practice 'azl while the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is among us before we ask him? So we asked the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and he stated: «It does not matter if you do not do it, for there is no soul decreed to come into existence until the Day of Resurrection but it will come into being.»
Urdu Translation
حضرت مجمع بن جاریہ انصاری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ بنو مصطلق کے غزوے میں نکلے اور ہم نے قیدیوں میں سے بعض عرب شریف عورتوں کو پکڑا۔ ہمیں عورتوں کی خواہش تھی اور بے زنی ہم پر مشکل ہو گئی، تو ہم نے عزل کرنا چاہا۔ ہم نے کہا: کیا ہم عزل کریں جبکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہمارے درمیان ہیں، قبل اس کے کہ ہم ان سے پوچھیں؟ تو ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے پوچھا اور آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: «اس میں کوئی حرج نہیں اگر تم ایسا نہ کرو، کیونکہ کوئی روح نہیں جس کے قیامت تک پیدا ہونے کا فیصلہ ہو چکا ہو مگر وہ ضرور پیدا ہو کر رہے گی۔»
