أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَجَّهَ جَيْشًا فَغَنِمُوا طَعَامًا وَعَسَلًا فَلَمْ يُخَمِّسْهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ»
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «You will be eager for positions of authority, and they will become a source of regret on the Day of Resurrection. What an excellent wet-nurse they are, yet what a terrible weaning-mother!»
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «تم عہدوں کے حریص ہو گے اور یہ قیامت کے دن ندامت کا باعث ہوں گے۔ کیا ہی عمدہ دودھ پلانے والی ہیں لیکن دودھ چھڑانے والی بری ہیں!»
