أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّكُمْ سَتَحْرِصُونَ عَلَى الْإِمَارَةِ وَإِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ نَدَامَةً وَحَسْرَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَنِعْمَتِ الْمُرْضِعَةُ وَبِئْسَتِ الْفَاطِمَةُ»
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: "Verily, you will be eager for leadership, and verily it will be a regret and remorse on the Day of Resurrection. What an excellent nurturer it is, and what a terrible weaner it is."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: «بیشک تم امارت کے حریص ہو جاؤ گے، اور بیشک یہ قیامت کے دن ندامت اور حسرت ہو گی۔ کیا ہی بہترین دودھ پلانے والی ہے، اور کیا ہی بری دودھ چھڑانے والی ہے۔»
