أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ* حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَحْوَلُ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْبَدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى مُلْكِ يَمِينِهِ أَنْ يَضْرِبَهُ فَكَفَّارَتُهُ تَرَكُهُ وَمَعَ الْكَفَّارَةِ حَسَنَةٌ»
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Whoever swears an oath concerning a slave of his that he will beat him, then the expiation for that oath is to leave him (not beat him), and along with the expiation there is a good deed."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «جس نے اپنے غلام کو مارنے کی قسم کھائی تو اس کا کفارہ یہ ہے کہ اسے چھوڑ دے (نہ مارے)، اور کفارے کے ساتھ ایک نیکی بھی ہے۔»
