أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ حَيْوَةَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ أَبَرَّ الْبِرِّ أَنْ يَصِلَ الرَّجُلُ أَهْلَ وُدِّ أَبِيهِ»
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «On the Day of Resurrection, the sun will be brought so close to the creation that it will be at a distance of one mile.» Sulaym ibn 'Amir, the narrator, said: By Allah, I do not know what is meant by mile - whether it is the mile of distance or the stick used for kohl.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: «قیامت کے دن سورج کو مخلوق کے اتنا قریب لایا جائے گا کہ وہ ایک میل کے فاصلے پر ہوگا۔» سلیم بن عامر راوی نے کہا: اللہ کی قسم! میں نہیں جانتا کہ میل سے کیا مراد ہے - آیا فاصلے کا میل ہے یا سرمہ لگانے کی سلائی۔
