أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ «أَوْلَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَوْسَعَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ خُبْزًا وَلَحْمًا كَمَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ فَأَتَى حُجْرَ أُمِّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَيَدْعُونَ لَهُ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَلَمَّا انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ إِذَا رَجُلَانِ يَذْكُرَانِ بَيْنَهُمَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْبَيْتِ فَلَمَّا أَبْصَرَهُمَا وَلَّى رَاجِعًا وَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ آيَةَ الْحِجَابِ»
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) gave a wedding feast and served the Muslims generously with bread and meat, as he used to do whenever he married. Then he went to the chambers of the Mothers of the Believers (may Allah be well pleased with them) and greeted them, and they prayed for him. Then he returned while I was with him. When we reached the house, there were two men conversing in a corner of the house. When he saw them, he turned back. Then Allah revealed the verse of hijab.
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ولیمہ فرمایا اور مسلمانوں کو روٹی اور گوشت سے فراوانی سے کھلایا جیسا کہ آپ نکاح فرماتے تو کیا کرتے تھے۔ پھر آپ امہات المؤمنین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہن کے حجروں میں تشریف لے گئے اور انہیں سلام فرمایا اور وہ آپ کے لیے دعا کرتیں۔ پھر آپ واپس ہوئے اور میں آپ کے ساتھ تھا۔ جب ہم گھر پہنچے تو وہاں دو آدمی گھر کے ایک کونے میں آپس میں باتیں کر رہے تھے۔ جب آپ نے انہیں دیکھا تو واپس لوٹ گئے۔ پھر اللہ تعالیٰ نے حجاب کی آیت نازل فرمائی۔
