أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ بِالْأُبُلَّةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَوْزَاءِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كَانَتْ تُصَلِّي خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ امْرَأَةٌ حَسْنَاءُ مِنْ أَحْسَنِ النَّاسِ فَكَانَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ يَتَقَدَّمُ فِي الصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ لِأَنْ لَا يَرَاهَا وَيَسْتَأْخِرُ بَعْضُهُمْ حَتَّى يَكُونَ فِي الصَّفِّ الْمُؤَخَّرِ فَكَانَ إِذَا رَكَعَ نَظَرَ مِنْ تَحْتِ إِبْطِهِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فِي شَأْنِهَا {وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ مِنْكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَأْخِرِينَ}
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with him) that he said: There was a beautiful woman, one of the most beautiful of people, who used to pray behind the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Some of the people would come forward to the first row so that they would not see her, and some of them would stay back until they were in the last row. When they would bow, they would look from beneath their armpits. So Allah revealed concerning her: «And We certainly know those of you who came forward and those who stayed back.»
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے فرمایا: ایک خوبصورت خاتون تھیں، جو سب سے حسین ترین لوگوں میں سے تھیں، اور وہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھتی تھیں۔ کچھ لوگ پہلی صف میں آگے آتے تاکہ انہیں نہ دیکھیں، اور کچھ پیچھے رہ جاتے یہاں تک کہ وہ آخری صف میں ہوتے۔ جب وہ رکوع کرتے تو اپنی بغل کے نیچے سے دیکھتے۔ تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان کے بارے میں نازل فرمایا: «اور ہم نے تم میں سے ان لوگوں کو جانا جو آگے آئے اور ان کو بھی جانا جو پیچھے رہے۔»
