English Translation

Abu Ya'la narrated to us, Abu Khaythamah narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Mujahid, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Amr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «The time of Zuhr is when the sun declines until a person's shadow is equal to his height, as long as 'Asr has not come. And the time of 'Asr is as long as the sun has not yellowed. And the time of Maghrib is as long as the twilight has not disappeared. And the time of 'Isha is until midnight. And the time of Fajr is from the breaking of dawn as long as the sun has not risen. And when the sun rises, refrain from prayer, for it rises between the two horns of Satan.»
