English Translation

Abu Ya'la narrated to us, Abu Khaythamah narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Urwah, from 'A'ishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray eleven rak'ahs, and that was his prayer. He would prolong the standing until one would say: He will not bow. Then he would bow, then he would prolong the bowing until one would say: He will not rise. Then he would say: {Allah hears whoever praises Him.} Then he would stand until one would say: He has forgotten. Then he would prostrate, then he would prolong the prostration until one would say: He has forgotten.
