أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ الْمِسْكِينُ الَّذِي تَرُدُّهُ التَّمْرَةُ وَالتَّمْرَتَانِ وَالْأَكْلَةُ وَالْأَكْلَتَانِ وَلَكِنَّ الْمِسْكِينَ الَّذِي لَيْسَ لَهُ مَا يَسْتَغْنِي بِهِ وَلَا يُعْلَمُ بِحَاجَتِهِ فَيُتَصَدَّقُ عَلَيْهِ فَذَلِكَ الْمَحْرُومُ»
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "The poor person (miskin) is not the one whom a date or two, or a morsel or two turn away. Rather, the poor person is the one who does not have enough to suffice him, and no one knows of his need so that he might be given charity. He is the truly deprived one (mahrum)."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "مسکین وہ نہیں جسے ایک دو کھجور یا ایک دو لقمے لوٹا دیں۔ بلکہ مسکین وہ ہے جس کے پاس اتنا نہ ہو جو اسے کافی ہو، اور کسی کو اس کی حاجت کا علم نہ ہو تاکہ اسے صدقہ دیا جائے۔ وہی حقیقی محروم ہے۔"
