أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا جَلَبَ وَلَا جَنَبَ وَلَا شِغَارَ وَمَنِ انْتَهَبَ نُهْبَةً فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "The similitude of the one who gives in charity and the miser is like that of two persons who have two iron coats of mail from their chests to their collar-bones. As for the spender, whenever he spends, the coat of mail expands until it covers his fingertips and obliterates his footprints. As for the miser, whenever he thinks of spending, each ring of the coat contracts and sticks to its place, and he tries to expand it but it does not expand."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "خرچ کرنے والے اور بخیل کی مثال ان دو آدمیوں جیسی ہے جن پر سینے سے ہنسلیوں تک لوہے کی دو زرہیں ہوں۔ خرچ کرنے والا جب خرچ کرتا ہے تو وہ زرہ پھیل جاتی ہے یہاں تک کہ اس کی انگلیوں تک پہنچ جاتی ہے اور اس کے نقش قدم مٹا دیتی ہے۔ اور بخیل جب خرچ کرنے کا ارادہ کرتا ہے تو ہر کڑی اپنی جگہ سکڑ جاتی ہے اور چپک جاتی ہے، وہ اسے کشادہ کرنا چاہتا ہے لیکن وہ کشادہ نہیں ہوتی۔"
