أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَحْوَلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَانِ مِنْ مَالٍ لَابْتَغَى وَادِيًا ثَالِثًا وَلَا يَمْلَأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ»
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'If the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would seek a third valley. And nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust. Then Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'اگر ابن آدم کے پاس مال کی دو وادیاں ہوں تو وہ تیسری وادی تلاش کرے گا۔ اور ابن آدم کا پیٹ مٹی کے سوا کچھ نہیں بھرتا۔ پھر اللہ اس کی توبہ قبول فرماتا ہے جو توبہ کرے۔'
