أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَحْطَبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الصِّدِّيقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا وَضَعَ الْمَيِّتَ فِي الْقَبْرِ قَالَ «بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ»
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated from the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) that when he placed the deceased in the grave, he would say: "In the Name of Allah, and upon the way of the Messenger of Allah."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب میت کو قبر میں رکھتے تو فرماتے: "بسم اللہ وعلی ملۃ رسول اللہ۔" (اللہ کے نام سے اور رسول اللہ کے دین پر۔)
