أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ قُطْبَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا جَمَّرْتُمُ الْمَيِّتَ فَأَوْتِرُوا»
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "When you perfume the deceased with incense, do it an odd number of times."
Urdu Translation
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "جب تم میت کو دھونی دو تو طاق عدد میں دو۔"
