Ḥadīth | Ibn Ḥibbān (ابن حبّان) ibnhibban:2627 ذِكْرُ تَسْوِيَةِ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ فِي الْقِيَامِ فِي الرَّكَعَاتِ الَّتِي وَصَفْنَاهَا مِنْ قِيَامِهِ بِاللَّيْلِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ طَاوُوسٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
English Translation
Hadrat 'A'ishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) said: «The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to pray eleven rak'ahs at night, performing witr with one of them, and when he finished he would lie down on his right side until the mu'adhdhin came to him for the Fajr prayer. Then he would pray two brief rak'ahs.»
Urdu Translation
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے فرمایا: «نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رات میں گیارہ رکعتیں پڑھتے، ان میں سے ایک سے وتر کرتے، اور جب فارغ ہوتے تو اپنے داہنے پہلو پر لیٹ جاتے یہاں تک کہ مؤذن فجر کی نماز کے لیے آپ کے پاس آتا۔ پھر آپ دو ہلکی رکعتیں پڑھتے۔»
