أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْغَزِّيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْ صَلَاةٍ مَفْرُوضَةٍ إِلَّا وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا رَكْعَتَانِ»
English Translation
Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) seeking a legal ruling, while I was listening from behind the door. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the call to prayer catches me while I am in a state of major ritual impurity. Should I fast?' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'The call to prayer catches me while I am in a state of major ritual impurity, and I fast.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you are not like us. Allah has forgiven your past and future sins.' He said: 'By Allah, I hope that I am the most fearful of you of Allah and the most knowledgeable of you about what I fear.'
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نفل نمازوں میں سے کسی چیز پر صبح کی نماز سے پہلے دو رکعتوں سے زیادہ پابند نہیں تھے۔
