أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ «كُنَّ النِّسَاءُ يُؤْمَرْنَ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَنْ لَا يَرْفَعْنَ رُءُوسَهُنَّ حَتَّى يَأْخُذَ الرِّجَالُ مَقَاعِدَهُمْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ مِنْ ضِيقِ الثِّيَابِ»
English Translation
Hadrat Sahl ibn Sa'd (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: "In the time of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), women were instructed during the prayer not to raise their heads until the men had taken their sitting positions on the ground, because of the tightness of their garments."
Urdu Translation
حضرت سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے: "رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے عہد میں عورتوں کو نماز میں حکم دیا جاتا تھا کہ وہ اپنا سر نہ اٹھائیں جب تک مرد زمین پر بیٹھ نہ جائیں، کپڑوں کی تنگی کی وجہ سے۔"
