أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُلَازِمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ أَحَدَ الْوَفْدِ قَالَ قَدِمْنَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَاتَهُ إِذَا رَجُلٌ فَرْدٌ فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَتَّى قَضَى الرَّجُلُ صَلَاتَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اسْتَ��ْبِلْ صَلَاتَكَ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَا صَلَاةَ لِفَرْدٍ خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ»
English Translation
Hadrat Ali ibn Shayban (may Allah be well pleased with him) - who was one of the delegation - narrated: We came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and prayed behind him. When the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) finished his prayer, there was a man praying alone. The Prophet of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood over him until the man finished his prayer. Then the Prophet of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to him: "Repeat your prayer, for there is no prayer for an individual behind the row."
Urdu Translation
حضرت علی بن شیبان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ - جو وفد میں سے ایک تھے - سے روایت ہے: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس آئے اور آپ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی۔ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو ایک آدمی اکیلا نماز پڑھ رہا تھا۔ نبی اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اس کے پاس کھڑے رہے یہاں تک کہ اس نے نماز مکمل کر لی۔ پھر نبی اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اس سے ارشاد فرمایا: "اپنی نماز دوبارہ پڑھو، کیونکہ صف کے پیچھے اکیلے کی نماز نہیں ہوتی۔"
