Ahmad ibn Ali ibn al-Muthanna informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us from Humam from Qatadah from Anas that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'A man from among the people of Paradise will be brought, and the Lord will say to him: O son of Adam, how do you find your abode? He will say: O Lord, the best abode. He will say: Ask and wish. He will say: I ask You to return me to the world so that I may be killed in Your cause ten times, when he sees the virtue of martyrdom.' And Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'By the One in Whose hand is my soul, Allah would love for a man to be killed in the cause of Allah, then brought back to life, then killed again, then brought back to life, then killed again.'
