أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُعَاوِيِّ * عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَجُلًا يُحَرِّكُ الْحَصَى بِيَدِهِ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ لَا تُحَرِّكِ الْحَصَى وَأَنْتَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَلَكِنِ اصْنَعْ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَصْنَعُ قَالَ «فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ وَأَشَارَ بِأُصْبُعِهِ الَّتِي تَلِي الْإِبْهَامَ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ وَرَمَى بِبَصَرِهِ إِلَيْهَا أَوْ نَحْوَهَا» ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَصْنَعُ
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Ali ibn al-Muthanna informed us, saying: Ahmad ibn al-Miqdam narrated to us, saying: Fudayl ibn Sulayman narrated to us from Musa ibn Uqbah from Nafi' from Ibn Umar, who said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when he sat for the tashahhud, would place his left hand on his left knee and his right hand on his right knee, and he would make fifty-three, and point with his forefinger.'
