أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الطَّالَقَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ * بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ طَبَّقَتْ وَوَضَعْتُ يَدَيَّ بَيْنَ رُكْبَتَيَّ فَرَآنِي أَبِي سَعْدٌ فَقَالَ كُنَّا نَفْعَلُ هَذَا فَنُهِينَا عَنْهُ وَأُمِرْنَا بِالرُّكَبِ
English Translation
Mus'ab ibn Abi Waqqas said: When I prayed, I would press (my hands) together and place my hands between my knees. My father Sa'd saw me and said: 'We used to do this, but we were prohibited from it and commanded (to place them on) the knees.'
