أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَعَلْقَمَةُ عَلَى ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَ لَنَا قُومُوا فَصَلُّوا فَذَهَبْنَا لِنَقُومَ خَلْفَهُ «فَأَقَامَ أَحَدَنَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَالْآخَرَ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ فَصَلَّى بِنَا بِغَيْرِ أَذَانٍ وَلَا إِقَامَةٍ فَجَعَلَ إِذَا رَكَعَ طَبَّقَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ وَجَعَلَهَا بَيْنَ رُكْبَتَيْهِ» فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قَالَ «هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَعَلَ»
English Translation
Al-Aswad said: I and 'Alqamah entered upon Ibn Mas'ud, and he said to us, 'Stand and pray.' We went to stand behind him, but he placed one of us on his right and the other on his left, and prayed with us without adhan or iqamah. When he bowed, he pressed his fingers together and placed them between his knees. When he prayed, he said: 'This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) do.'
