English Translation
Abu Hurayrah narrated: Safwan bin al-Mu'attal asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'O Prophet of Allah, I will ask you about a matter that you know and I am ignorant of.' He said: 'What is it?' He said: 'Are there any hours of the night and day in which prayer is disliked?' He said: 'Yes. When you have prayed Fajr, refrain from prayer until the sun rises, for it rises between the horns of Satan. Then pray, and prayer is accepted until the sun is directly overhead like a spear. When it is overhead like a spear, refrain from prayer, for that is the hour when Hell is stoked and its corners are heated, until it declines. When it declines, prayer is witnessed and accepted until you pray Asr. Then refrain from prayer until the sun sets.'
